Special ceremony for twelve-layered kimono

I vow to live forever

The twelve-layered kimono is a traditional attire worn by ladies-in-waiting in the Heian period. The way in which it is layered is called "Nioi," "Usuyo," "Murago," etc. Each style expresses the changing of the seasons or the natural scenery, and is a traditional costume that brings out the noble sense of style of the wearer.
Ikan was a type of attire worn by nobles in the Heian period to show dignity when visiting the Imperial Palace.
The "Special Wedding Ceremony at Shimogamo Shrine" is a ceremony where couples will swear eternal love at the Kamo Shrine, dressed in twelve-layered kimonos and dignified attire. We would like to introduce you to an emotional wedding ceremony that will become a lifelong memory for the couple.
