In the waiting room

Meeting time
Please gather in the waiting room together with the bride and groom and guests 30 minutes before the ceremony. We will bring you sweets and kelp tea. We will come to pick you up about 5 minutes before the ceremony, so please wait in the waiting room.

Explanation of the ceremony schedule
About 30 minutes before the ceremony, the bride and groom will be explained the ceremony procedure. (In the waiting room for both families) At this time, the vows to be recited during the ceremony will be given to them. Please also pay the wedding offering and sweets. (We also accept offerings before the wedding day.)

Participate
About 5 minutes before the ceremony, the couple will line up in front of the waiting room and be led by a shrine maiden. (Line-up order: Bride and groom at the front, then father, mother, older brother, older sister, younger brother, younger sister, relatives, etc.)

Purification
Before the ceremony, a purification ceremony will be held. The priest will recite a purification prayer and purify the bride and groom and all attendees with hemp. (Everyone stands up.)

Reciting a prayer
The chief priest will recite a prayer, announce the marriage, and pray for the bride and groom's everlasting happiness. (Everyone stands up.)

Three Offerings Ceremony
Also known as Sansankudo, this is a ceremony where the bride and groom exchange cups of sacred sake offered to the altar to seal their marriage. Three cups will be given to you: small, medium, and large. Please drink each cup in three sips. (This interlude: the bride and groom stand up.)
● The ceremony will last 30 minutes ● Up to 30 people can attend ● Photography is permitted inside the ceremony hall (this will be handled by a company designated by the shrine) ● Information will be provided at each stage during the ceremony, but please confirm the above details in advance.

Ring exchange
This is a ceremony in which the couple exchange rings in front of the altar as a symbol of their vows. Those who will be exchanging rings will be asked to leave them in the waiting room beforehand. (The bride and groom stand up.)

Reciting the oath
This is a ceremony to vow the union of husband and wife before the gods. The bride and groom proceed from their seats to the table in front of the altar and recite the vows.

Bride and groom offering tamagushi offerings
This is a ceremony in which tamagushi is offered to the altar and worshipped. After receiving the tamagushi, rotate it clockwise and offer it on the table with the base facing the altar with gratitude and prayer. Next, bow twice, clap twice, and bow once, then take your seat.

Representative of family members offers sacred offerings
Representatives from both families will approach the altar one by one, receive the tamagushi and place it on the table. Then, all attendees will stand up and bow in unison with the representatives, following the correct procedure of two bows, two claps, one bow.

A cup of tea for parents and children
This is a ceremony in which the bride and groom and their parents exchange sake cups to seal the bond of parent-child ties. (Interlude: Bride and groom and both parents stand up)

A cup of sake for family
This is a ceremony where the bride and groom and their relatives exchange sake to form a new family bond. After the shrine maiden pours the sacred sake, all attendees stand up, bow, and drink a toast at the same time. (Interlude: Bride and groom, attendees all stand up)
