At Shimogamo Shrine, we hold the monthly offering festival and monthly festival on the first day of each month. These festivals are held at the beginning of the month to pray to Kamo Mioyashiko-Oomikami for the prosperity of the Imperial Family and peace for the nation and its people, and are an even more careful version of the daily offerings (meals).
